5 Tips for Easy Entertaining

The season for entertaining friends and family is in full swing! These five tips and easy-to-whip-up recipes will help you prepare the perfect party.

1) Simple Crowd Pleasers: Everyone looks forward to indulging in their favorite comfort foods this time of year, so you can stick to traditional favorites and have a table full of happy eaters.

2) Make Ahead: Save time and stress by making your favorite holiday casseroles ahead of time. Freeze them up to a week in advance, then reheat when company comes.

3) Set the Table: Make guests feel welcome with the table set just for them. Do this the day before and you’ll have one less thing to worry about.

4) Serve Appetizers: Make one extra special appetizer, like Vegetable & Cheese Pastry Puffs and pair it with a selection of Knorr® Dips, pre-cut veggies and crackers and chips.

5) Decorate with Candles: Candles set the mood, give off a flattering light and are affordable. Make sure they are unscented so they don’t compete with the smell of your delicious dinner.

Tips & Tricks

  • Shop the Pantry
Go to the pantry before hitting the grocery store. Chances are you probably have items like canned tomatoes or Knorr® Sides on hand already. Check before you spend extra money.
  • Pasta for a Party
Save the stuffing for big holiday feasts. For smaller, more casual get-togethers, keep it simple with pasta dishes that feed a crowd, like Savory Beef Brisket with Mushroom Rice.

User Tip

Melanie in Des Moines, IA says...
"If you’re freezing a casserole, don’t put any crunchy toppings on it. It’ll get soggy. I add toppings, like croutons or crumbled crackers, right before reheating."
